This year’s Shootout saw record numbers in the number of runs, record speeds, and likely record crowds, amid major changes in 2017. It is also inarguably the largest charity event at the Lake of the Ozarks. We added our second beach, Cannonball Beach, two new tiki bars, both of which came from Shooters, and a second beach volleyball court.Ĭaptain Ron’s is home to the biggest event at the Lake of the Ozarks and largest boating event, the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout. We completed Treasure Pass which makes for an easy stroll to all of the rentals. Three more rental homes were remodeled, making 7 all together. We added 300 feet of lakefront, making 700 feet in total. After three months of construction the new Captain Ron’s set sail.ĭuring the summer of 2008, we went to work on the rest of the property. After a year of patching and fixing, we decided to just tear it down and start all over.

This buried treasure was an old, 1960’s mobile home park in much need of some tender loving care. Captain Ron’s opened its doors in November of 2006.
